Port Dover Lions Spearheads Month of May Food Drive

This year, the Port Dover Lions are taking on the Month of May food drive on behalf of the Port Dover Lifeline Food Bank as a club project. With a goal of $40,000, the Lions are hoping the community will get behind this month-long project and help make it a success.

There are a number of ways the community can donate, including online, or cash and cheque at the Port Dover Scotiabank, located at 407 Main St. Tax receipts will be available for donations over $20.

The Lions are also planning a Food Drive Blitz Day on Saturday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Lions will be covering the town and going through the neighbourhoods collecting non-perishable food donations from resident’s homes. To register for a porch pick-up, email the Lions at info@portdoverlions.ca.

Special food donation boxes will be available at the following locations:

  • Port Dover KIA, 167 Hamilton Plank Rd
  • Roulstons IDA 414 Main St
  • Dover Apothecary, 328 Main St
  • No Frills, 87 Thompson Dr
  • Lions Silver Lake Market, 320 St. Patrick St
  • Port Dover Legion, 212 Market St E
  • Scotiabank 407 Main St.
